Romanian Top 100

I've noticed that you are adding links to the Romanian Top 100 without archiving the link with WebCite. It's a perfectly good chart, but they no longer archive it. That means that one week after you add your link it becomes non-verifiable and is subject to removal. If you use WebCite to create a permanent copy, that problem goes away.—Kww(talk) 23:15, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bananas (album) has several examples. WebCite has a good description. You have to visit webcitation.org to tell the service what page to archive and get the URL for it.—Kww(talk) 15:00, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Which article? I'll see if I can figure out what happened.—Kww(talk) 14:09, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what happened, and will wait a week. When you archived it, your title showed that you had archived edition 46 of the chart, and edition 46 is still active. The date on the archived chart is different than today's (Aug. 3, not Aug 6). Are you sure the chart changed between when you archived it and today?—Kww(talk) 15:47, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's the problem: it archives the page, not the site. If you want to archive a chart position on the 4th page, you have to archive the link for the 4th page, like http://www.rt100.ro/#/?page=4 .—Kww(talk) 16:16, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see the e-mail when you get it whether things work or not. This is confusing, and it's important that this works. A lot of Wikipedia articles use references to WebCite, and if they aren't archiving things correctly we need to know.—Kww(talk) 22:26, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Got the e-mail. You did it right, and webcitation.org screwed up (they seem to ignore everything after a question mark in the URL). I'll contact them on Monday and see how to fix this.—Kww(talk) 14:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, let me know if something else comes up, although I'll be away from Wikipedia until about next Sunday, so I won't be responding to any messages til then. Alecsdaniel (talk) 14:13, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
