Northmont High School is part of Northmont City Schools. The school is located in Clayton, Ohio, and serves approximately 2000 students from the communities of northern Montgomery County, including Clayton, Englewood, Phillipsburg, and Union. The mission of Northmont is to "guarantee academic excellence to all learners that will prepare them for their future through a progressive curriculum, dedicated staff, and state-of-the-art facilities, enhanced by extra-curricular programs."
The school's mascot is the Thunderbolt, but are more colloquially known as the T-Bolts or just the Bolts.

NJROTC
Northmont NJROTC has dominated their Area championships winning 4 out of the 5 years and has made 8 appearances to Navy Nationals in Pennsicola, Florida, including a 10th place finish in 2010.
- Northmmont's current NJROTC instructors are Senior Chief Griffin(ret.) and Lt.Col.Knotts(ret.)
- Northmont's NJROTC program has earned the distinguished Unit award for the last 9 years and has earned academic honors 7 of those 9 years

- Girls Soccer – 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989[1]
Marching band
The Northmont marching band has previously been a finalist at the Bands of America Grand National Championships and received Grand-Champions for the MSBA Championships in 2009 in the AAAA Division.
The three previous head band directors were Willis R. Cool; Reginald Richwine, David Armbruster (2006-2009).
The head band director now is Mr. Jim Blankenship (2009-Present)
Quiz Bowl
The Northmont Academic Challenge Team won the NAQT State Championship in 2010.
