The Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine (ATS of Ukraine, ATSU) is a public organization working throughout all Ukraine to unite the efforts of organizations and enterprises. We also seek to unite the efforts of the leading scientists, technologists, and other experts who work in the various structures, regions, and branches of our economy. Our primary purpose is to promote the effective utilization of their intellectual, scientific, technological, and creative potential.
Activities
The Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine is a public organization. Like many other academies, it has a two-tier membership: valid members (academicians), and corresponding members. There is also an additional membership category for foreign members. It operates many research institutions, primarily in the fundamental sciences but also in the humanities. Goal АТS of Ukraine is consolidation of intellectual and industrial-technological potential of Ukraine in interests of formation of social and economic power of the country.
History
In difficult for Ukraine time of formation for a way of independent development, in 1991, the Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine (АТS of Ukraine, ATSU) has been founded. АТS of Ukraine it has been created at the initiative of Academy of sciences Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic by scientific, industrial and military-industrial structures of Ukraine which have acted as academy founders and on the constituent assembly these organisations were represented by group of leading scientists and experts-technologists.
And professors-founders of Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine have acted: Ajzenberg J., Aleksandrov M. Gassanov L., Gerasimenko S., Gorbulin V., Dovgopoliy A., Kljuchnikov A., Konoplev I., Kornilov I., Krivulko V., Kuchma L., Matveev M., Morozov A., Pavlovskiy M., Parhomenko V., Petrov V., Piljushenko V., Ribinok V., Seminozhenko V., Skljarov V., Solovev Y., Tonkal V., Chujko A., Haber N., Shpak A.
Notable members
The Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine has many known scientists. Among them:
Dr. Anatoliy Morozov - President АТS of Ukraine, the known scientist-cybernetic, the developer of a program and hardware complex of the Parliament of Ukraine;
Dr. Alexander Denisov - the known scientist in sphere of electronics of superconductors;
Dr. Mykola Kirjukhin - the known scientist in sphere of technologies of counteraction to terrorism;
Dr. Vasil Molebniy - the expert in sphere of optics of sight;
Dr. Vitaliy Klimenko - the founder of programming languages over high level "Analyst";
Dr. Volodymir Parhomenko - the expert in an information analytic and information technologies;
Dr. Victor Lysanjuk - the scientist in sphere of agrarian manufacture;
Dr. Juliy Kutcan - an analyst in power sphere;
Dr. Anatoliy Dovgopoliy - the known scientist in sphere of special instrument making.
Among Professor АТS of Ukraine there is Dr. Leonid Kuchma the ex-President of Ukraine.
Current status
In structure of Academy of 130 valid members (academicians), 125 correspondent members, 2 candidates for members of Academy, and also 19 foreign valid members and 7 foreign correspondent members from the USA, Russian Federation, Canada, Germany, Israel, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Uzbekistan. Among members of Academy of 179 doctors and Ph.D and 45 known scientific technologists, including 88 professors, 7 professors and 12 correspondent members NАS of Ukraine. Many cases of presence at a member of academy of two degrees on various specialities simultaneously (for example take place: a Dr.Sci.Tech. / the Ph.D).

Awards
АТS of Ukraine awards the best scientists of sphere of technologies "The Medal Of Academician Glushkov". Awards land trees. There is an avenue awarded by the given medal. It is avenue of sweet cherries. Every spring there is an action on care of trees.
