Hello Wikipedians! As a new and nervous contributor to Wikipedia, any help/guidance you can give me will certainly be appreciated. (I recently finished The Wikipedia Revolution by Andrew Lih, so I have some sense of etiquette but I am anxious about stepping on toes.)
Education is my passion and has been since approximately 1990. I joined the ranks of junior high school teachers in 1994 as a history and “special education” teacher. It was not long before I involved myself in education reform activities on the local level and then the state and national levels. Improving education for all children led me to advocacy and most recently to a Department of Education special education policy unit in New England. Currently, I am back in school on a full-time basis.
I am hoping to collaborate with you around educational issues especially issues related to special education, inclusion and transition to post-secondary life.
