Baba Zumbi (Zumbi Zoom) is an MC from Oakland, California.[1][unreliable source?] Graduating from De La Salle High School in 1991, Zumbi chose to enroll into college while starting his musical career. Majoring in Psychology, Zumbi graduated from Morehouse College in 1995.

After gaining experience upon signing to major label Tommy Boy in the late 90′s, he applied that experience to the independent world of Rap. Zumbi has recorded with varied artists ranging from Linkin Park to Too Short to Rebelution.
