Artem Chigvintsev (Артём Чигвинцев) (born Izhevsk Russia, circa 1982^[1]) is a Russian professional dancer on Series 8 of Strictly Come Dancing, dancing with Kara Tointon.

He was a contestant on the first series of So You Think You Can Dance, and a choreographer on the second series.^[2]

Artem specialises in Latin dancing.^[3]

In August 2010, Chigvintsev returned to the US to apply for a new work visa which would allow him to concentrate on working on Strictly Come Dancing. His previous work visa was issued for a West End show, which only allowed him to work up to 20 hours a week at an additional job.^[4]

Personal life

Chigvintsev was in a relationship with dancer Carrie Ann Inaba for two and a half years until November 2008^[5]
