Keneder Odler is the incorrect transliterated spelling and pronunciation of Keneder Adler (Canadian Eagle). The Keneder Adler was the Yiddish Newspaper published in Montreal by Harry (Hirsch) Wolofsky. Wolofsky, his descendants and everyone who ever read the paper pronounced it Adler. North American phone books are filled with transliterated Adlers, not Odlers. |
