It is the main national institution in charge of attracting foreign investments to Lithuania and developing the attractive economic image of the country abroad. It employs more than 45 professionals and has two representative offices abroad.

The Investment Promotion Department provides information on the investment opportunities, consults regarding selection of investment partners and locations for business ventures. Public relations, advertising, and promotional events are handled by the Marketing Division. The Analysis Division provides tailored information to companies and governmental bodies. The institution has helped such companies as BARCLAYS BANK (UK), WESTERN UNION (USA), CIE AUTOMOTIVE (Spain), FINNFOAM (Finland), PEEK&CLOPPENBURG (Germany), GRUPO SOPENA (Spain), INDORAMA (Thailand), DEMATIC (Germany), RGE (UK), STIGA GAMES (Sweden), CHRISTIE TYLER (UK), MARZOTTO (Italy), and D.BOSS (South Korea), METSO PAPER (Sweden), WAKO BUSSAN Co. (Japan), WINCOR NIXDORF (Germany), CERUTTI (Italy), INVACARE HOGH (Denmark), GLENDALE CABINS (UK).
