Biography

Toshi is one of Steve's three recurring friends, and speaks only Japanese (with English subtitles) and at one occasion, Russian. Toshi can apparently understand but not speak English; it is unknown if Steve or any other characters can understand him. Stereotypically, Toshi is more intelligent than the majority of Langley Falls residents, able to build transforming robots and is apparently the only person outside of the Smith family to be aware that Roger is an alien.

Family

Toshi has a family, and at one point lends a family sword to Steve to aid his revenge plans. His sister Akiko and parents all speak perfect English.

Personality

He has the characteristics of a Japanese stereotype from a W.W.II-era cartoon: he is mischievous, cruel and anti-American. Toshi has expressed the desire to kill Steve as his greatest wish Finances With Wolves. In the episode Stan Knows Best it was made known that he has an obedient woman waiting for him back home in Japan, even though later in the season episdode Of Ice and Men Toshi gets another woman - the Russian mail order bride.

Hobbies and talents

Toshi is gifted with origami, and also plays both the maracas and bass guitar. This is seen in the episode American Dream Factory. He also has martial arts training with nunchucks, as seen in the episode When a Stan Loves a Woman.

The actor who voices Toshi is Daisuke Suzuki.
