Hosea Chanchez (born September 12, 1981) also credited as Hosea, is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as professional football player Malik Wright on the CW/BET comedy-drama TV series The Game.
Early life and career
Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Chanchez spent most of his childhood in Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. He studied theater in high school and headed to Hollywood.
Chanchez has appeared in various guest role on For Your Love, The Guardian, Jack & Bobby, NCIS, and Everwood. From 2006 to 2009, he appeared on the CW television series The Game. Chanchez portrayed quarterback Malik El Debarge Wright, opposite Wendy Raquel Robinson (who portrayed his mother and sports agent). The series is returning to the air on BET in January 2011.
Chanchez also has a theater background with roles in Shop Life, The Wiz, The Long Walk Home, Royal Oats and Glory.
