Kate Jarman (born 22 April 1980, Cardiff) is a bilingual Welsh actress.[1] She is most well known for playing lead characters in Hearts of Gold, Nice Girl and Pobol Y Cwm.

Born in Cardiff, Jarman attended Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari between 1991 and 1998. She graduated from the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff in 2001. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting.

Career

In 1999, whilst still in her first year at college, Jarman was cast in BBC2's Nice Girl, directed by Dominic Savage. She played character Mel opposite Steve Meo.
