Joe Chappell is played by Scott Taylor and makes his first appearance on 19 January 2011. Joe is Jackson Walsh's carer and is later wheels him around the village. Joe takes care of Jackson at home and accompanies him when he is out and about.

Flynn Buchanan is a man Aaron Livesy meets in a gay nightclub in Hotten. Flynn spots Aaron playing a game of pool with his friend Adam Barton. Flynn challenges Aaron to a game and wins. Adam buys Flynn a drink along with Aaron's. Flynn makes a pass at Aaron and gives him his phone number. Although Aaron initially rejects him and goes home, it is later revealed that Flynn has sent a text to Aaron asking him out for another date.
