Real Racing 2 is Firemint's latest addition in the 'Real Racing' series of racing simulator video games for the iPhone and iPod touch. For the first time in the series, 30 licensed vehicles from manufacturers like BMW and Chevrolet will be included in the game. It will be powered by Firemint's own Mint3D engine. It is available at the App Store for US$9.99 / £5.99 / €7.99 / AU$12.99 and ¥1200, depending on the location.

Gameplay

Real Racing 2 has a distinctive career mode, with up to 10 hours of gameplay. 30 officially licensed cars can be purchased and upgraded with in-game cash. Online Multiplayer with Game Center is supported with a 16 player car grid. This is the first time in iOS and the Real Racing series that more than 4 players are able to play online. ==Reception== Real Racing 2 was met with generally favourable reviews. IGN gave Real Racing 2 a score of 9/10 and an Editors Choice award, with a comment that said ' Real Racing 2 lays down a new marker for iPhone sim racers'. Some gamers felt that the game is like an iOS version of Race Driver: Grid and the console version of Need for Speed: Shift, which is high praise.

Future

Firemint confirmed that the iPad version of Real Racing 2 is in development but no release date has been announced yet.
