Roar! is the student newspaper of King's College London. It has existed in various incarnations since the 1960s, but in 1992 its name was changed from 'Casey L' to Roar! - named after the university's mascot, Reggie the lion.

Roar! has existed in various formats, as a magazine, then a tabloid newspaper. It was turned into a full colour, glossy magazine in 2006 but has since been re-branded as a tabloid, borrowing the style of The Sun and The Mirror Newspapers in both its layout and article styles. It once fell under complete editorial control of the VP Media and Publications, VP Communications and VP Student Media and Engagement, with shifts in the nature of its editorial independence, but in 2010 a student editor was appointed under the guise of the then VP Student Media and Engagement, Natasha Wynarczyk.

Roar! is currently a monthly publication, but also has a blog which was launched in 2011. This blog updates regularly with student news, societies news, music reviews and sports news.

The current Editor in Chief is Natasha Wynarczyk, and the current student editor is Matt Quinton.

Former editors, writers and photographers now work for national news outlets such as The Daily Mail, Time Out Magazine, The Times and Sky.

Notable stories have included 'MC Hammered' - a front page critique of the then President Mike Champion, an article about the toilets at the Strand Campus being used for cottaging (which was later pulled) and an article about KCL using money to fund the arms trade.

Recently Roar! broke the news of KCL adopting the London Living Wage.
