The Place We Ran From is the first album by the band Tired Pony, released on July 12, 2010. Its first single was "Dead American Writers".[1] It was recorded in only one week on January 2010, in Portland, Oregon, USA.[2] It includes contributions from actress and singer Zooey Deschanel, guitarist M. Ward, and Tom Smith of the indie rock group Editors.[3] Rolling Stone gave the album a rating of four stars.[4]
