My concern is that many misrepresentations of astrology are traceable to the Wikipedia article on astrology. Often the wording is copied verbatim. Unfortunately Wikipedia is under the control of sophists who reject critical thinking and have constructed a whole panoply of accessories to guard conventional wisdom and junk science in this area against the intrusions of reason, scientific discourse, and discovery. This is the challenge.

I am a principle technical writer/editor in science and engineering. What brings me to Wikipedia is my interest in astrology, which I have studied with endless fascination and scholarship with others as an amateur for over 30 years. I have published four peer reviewed articles on astrology and have donated my skills to research articles by other authors.

My concern is that many misrepresentations of astrology are traceable to the Wikipedia article on astrology. Often the wording is copied verbatim. Unfortunately Wikipedia is under the control of sophists who reject critical thinking and have constructed a whole panoply of accessories to guard conventional wisdom and junk science in this area against the intrusions of reason, falsifiability, verifiability, scientific discourse, and discovery. This is the challenge.
