== List_of_abbreviations_used_in_healthcare_IT ==

Hi Shire, thanks for broadening the topic, I do agree with your suggestion. I just have one issue not figured out: how can I actually directly link exisiting topics in WIKI to my abbrevs? For example I have problems with PACS. It exists but when I put it the way I did it shows not the correct link.

I have as well started a site on the European Association of Healthcare IT Managers, as through this organisation I was inspired to start this topic. So I have set up (based on HIMSS - the large US counterpart) as site for them but it got deleted. Any idea on how to start such a site without being deleted??

Thank you very much,

Altered speedy deletion rationale: List of football clubs in Laos

Hello Shire Reeve. I am just letting you know that I deleted List of football clubs in Laos, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. GedUK  17:44, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks. Shire Reeve (talk) 19:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

speedy deletion-wateska wonder

after your warning i tried to rewrite the article in my own language but you again warned and delete my page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roohollah1988 (talkcontribs) 17:02, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As has already been explained to you on your talk page, changing a few words here and there is not the same thing as writing it in your own words. Please understand that Wikipedia will be held liable for legal action if copyrighted material is allowed to be pasted here. Thanks, Shire Reeve (talk) 17:05, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I used mostly third party sources and I've changed my language to make it not sound like an advertisement, it's just how it comes out every time, really this is like my third time writing this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thrashing0donut (talkcontribs) 22:37, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid it's still almost entirely a paste of copyrighted text from the university's website. Please don't re-create this again using copyrighted text, and please stop removing the speedy deletion notices: continued abusive editing will get you blocked. Shire Reeve (talk) 09:31, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You've added a template that there are no references or sources cited. This is just a list and these folks already have pages that have all the references and sources. I think the template needs to be removed. Zayya 02:26, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

What if someone decides to add Justin Bieber to the list, for fun 'n' laffs? Categories don't need references, but lists do. The list is small now, so referencing it will be easy. Subsequent additions should have references justifying their inclusion. Just my two cents... thanks, Shire Reeve (talk) 16:41, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Usually lists don't have references attached. They are just running lists. So I will remove the template.Zayya 02:12, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Wow you're fast

Congrats and/or thanks, I guess. —Felix the Cassowary 16:34, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting The Matthew Heusser page

If you look at my page and references, I think you'll find it is written in neutral tone, supported by verifiable statements of fact (or a google search), submitted by a member of the internet press guild, a googleable journalism group, not for pay, not a friend of mine. (I said "I really shouldn't make my own page" and he said "then let me do it for you.")

I would think a large body of commentary (25 magazine articles, a hundred web-based articles, verifiable references as a leader in my field, etc), a google tech talk, a contributor to a book and lead editor of another would be enough to be considered. Please consider taking the deletion tag off.

Mheusser (talk) 18:04, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't tag it for deletion: please see User talk:Seanrosenthal61. All I did was warn you that it's a bad idea to try to write an article about yourself, or subjects with which you have a WP:Conflict of interest, like Roger Heusser. Sean created the article in one edit, but the 8 or so subsequent edits were yours when I posted at your talk page.
Regarding notability, I agreed with editor Rrburke that the article didn't strongly assert notability, but I didn't think that speedy deletion was appropriate. I don't think the article would have survived an WP:AFD though, in the state that it was in. It's true you have written a lot of articles, and you do sound like a pretty cool and interesting guy to meet, but I don't think that you yet meet the notability criteria in WP:BIO. Please don't take offense at this: many hundreds of articles about borderline-notable CEOs of highly-notable companies get deleted regularly for the same reason, and the whole subject of deletion versus inclusion is endlessly debated here: see meta:Inclusionism for an outline of the controversy. List_of_abbreviations_used_in_healthcare_IT

Hi Shire,

I am the Secretary General of the European Association of Healthcare IT Managers (www.hitm.eu). Together with the European Association of Hospital Managers (www.eahm.eu.org) we are running a working group on healthcare IT. One of the findings of our group was the lack of a comprehensive list of abbreviations and explanations in healthcare IT and e-health. In order to do so our group members have asked me to set up such a list in Wikipedia so that all of them can alter it and to get more input of interested WIKI users as well.

I have noticed that you have marked this contribution as spam and for deletion. Is there any particular reason for this? I am aware that we have some in-depth explanations in WIKI (I have started to link to them) but many of them are still missing and it is quite complicated to browse all of them. Furthermore, there is nowhere any comprehensive overview of such terms. Therefore we have created this page and there are similar ones in healthcare.

Question: what do I have to do that this is not considered as spam? Please feel free to contact me on my email c.m@hitm.eu if there is a need.

Thank you very much,

CM — Preceding unsigned comment added by E-healthinformer (talkcontribs) 09:48, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't marked the article for deletion. I removed one entry from the list in this edit, since it was highly WP:PROMO and was also copyrighted text pasted from http://www.hl7.org/about/index.cfm. Shire Reeve (talk) 09:53, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
