The 2013 ICC World Cup Qualifier is a cricket tournament that will take place in 2013 in Scotland. Originally this tournament was intended to be the final qualification tournament for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. However, the International Cricket Council has since announced that the 2015 World Cup will be restricted to the 10 full member nations, with no qualification.[1]

The tournament is the renamed version of the ICC Trophy, and will be the final event of the 2009-13 World Cricket League.

Teams

The following teams, who attained One Day International status from the previous World Cup, and who make up Division One of the World Cricket League qualified automatically.

The top six teams gain One Day International or maintain One Day International status for the following four years and also automatically qualify for the ICC Intercontinental Cup. The bottom two teams will be relegated to 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Three. The final and the play-offs for third and fifth place will be official ODIs.
