The Needle Drop is a blog/vlog created by Anthony Fantano, where he reviews "rock, pop, electronic, and experimental music of the independent persuasion." The blog started back in the fall of 2007, while the video reviews started in February of 2009. He reviews albums, individual songs in a segment called "Track Reviews" (styalized as "TRKRVWZ"), and occasionally has a "Question of the Week".
His Youtube channel currently has about 27,000 subscribers, and over 5 million upload views.[1]
