Seniors (Malayalam: സീനിയേര്സ്) is a 2011 Malayalam masala film directed by Vaishakh, who made his debut with Pokkiri Raja (2010). The story is about four friends who return to their alma mater as students. It stars Jayaram, Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon, and Manoj K. Jayan in the main roles. The screenplay is by Sachi-Sethu. The music is composed by Alphonse, Jassie Gift and Alex Paul. The film was released on May 7th, 2011 and was placed first in its opening weekend.[1]
Synopsis
The story revolves around Padbanabhan (Jayaram), Rex Emmanual (Kunchacko Boban), Philip Edikulla (Biju Menon), Rashid Munna (Manoj K. Jayan) who were thick intimate friends who studied in the same college 12 years ago. Now they are separated.
But Pappu(short for Padmanabhan) was sent to jail due to a murder at college.Rex manual loves drawing; hence he’s selling his drawings through his shop. The person Rashid who’s keeping love in mind is now doing a ladies store business and Philip Edikulla is doing agriculture due to his passion towards farming.
One day, Padbanabhan called Philip, Rashid and Rex.He tells that he was released after 12 years of imprisonment. He told them about a new suggestion like joining back at the same college as seniors for the PG course. Even though they were hesitant first they eventually agreed to rejoin the college for PG at Ernakulum Maharaja's college, M.A Philosophy. The movie forwards with the incidents that happens after they rejoin the college. But there is a purpose for them to why they joined back at the college. The story moves forward on a comic, fun and suspense environment.[2]

Reviews and reception
The film was praised for it breath of fresh air, slapstick comedy and suspense. Jayaram's and Kunchacko Boban's riveting performance especially in the climax was also praised. The film is currently running successfully.
