Tracklacers are a British songwriting and production team (Jon Keep & Steve Daly) based between Studios in London & LA. Tracklacers signed and developed british supergroup [[JLS]] (originally known as U.F.O) in 2007 through their production company New Track City prior to the boys X factor debut. During this period (2007-2008) they invented a sound called Jack the Lad Swing, which was a fusion of Laddish style vocal delivery on pop/rnb based backing tracks. Following a name change during the X factor auditions due to the name U.F.O already existing with another band, in 2008 the U.F.O boys took on the name [[JLS]] (Jack the Lad Swing). Fast forward to 2011, Tracklacers sign new girlgroup group ‘LadyRiot’ to their production company New Track City and are currently writing and producing their first studio album set for 2011/12 release. Tracklacers have recently produced ‘Spender’ for up and coming uk rapper Smiler (released in June) named by Radio 1's Zane Lowe as the 'Hottest tune on the Planet' , also working with songwriters such as Andre Merrit (Fight for this Love, Disturbia), Ali Tennant (JLS, Lemar, Blue), Onique Williams (Jlo) and writing teams from Dr Dre's Camp to Ryan Tedder's crew. Tracklacers have been referred to as ‘The London Pop Dons’ in a review from The Guardian news paper and NME magazine taking on a contemporary pop sound, twisted with urban club styles. They have wide influences depending on the artist including Pop, Electro ,Dance, Rock, Dubstep, and all things Urban.
