Brontoscorpio anglicus is a species of fossil scorpion. Its remains were discovered in Trimpley, Worcestershire, and the species was described on the basis of a single pedipalp.[1][2] The complete animal is estimated to be at least 90 centimetres (35 in) long and aquatic. Brontoscorpio also had large pinching claws, a three foot long body and a stinger the size of a lightbulb. It would have mainly hunted for smaller fish and arthropods.[1]
