Dungeon Defenders is a video game under development by Trendy Entertainment that combines the genres of tower defense and action RPG. The game takes place in a fantasy setting where players control the young apprentices of wizards and warriors and defend against hordes of monsters.[1] Dungeon Defenders was announced on August 25, 2010, and is planned for release on XBLA, PSN, and PC platforms.[2] Support for the Move accessory is planned for inclusion in the PSN version.[3] Epic Games' Mark Rein has stated that there will be cross platform play between the PS3 and the PlayStation Vita.[4] The game is scheduled for release on Steam in Q2 2011, though as of July 1, 2011 that deadline was not met.[5] The Xbox Live Arcade version was submitted to Microsoft on May 26, 2011.[6]
Dungeon Defenders: First Wave
First Wave is the mobile version of Dungeon Defenders, and is one of the first Unreal Engine 3 games available for iOS and the first available on Android, with a recent patch allowing cross-platform multiplayer gaming between the two mobile operating systems via GameSpy.
