It Happened in Athens was a 1962 comedy film released by 20th Century Fox. This was film star Jayne Mansfield's last film to be released by studio 20th Century Fox. The film starred, Trax Colton, a newcomer on the 20th Century Fox lot; and, featured, Nico Minardos, and Bob Mathias.

Trivia
The film was shoot in Greece in the fall of 1960, though not released until June of 1962. The film was Jayne Mansfield's last film released by her six year 20th Century Fox contract she signed in 1956. Mansfield's credited with first billing, but only appears in a supporting role. Newcomer Trax Colton, stars in the film as a young Greek boy eager to enter the first Olympic games. When arelased, It Happened in Athens was a box-office failure.
