It peaked at #3 in the UK Singles Chart in September 1990.[1] The main verse hook line is the tune of the saxophone riff that leads in to the middle 8 section of the James Brown track I Got You. The introductory piano riff is a direct sample from the Velvelettes track, He Was Really Saying Something.

The song was featured in the soundtrack of the 1991 romantic comedy Career Opportunities.
