Helen Shaw (born July 7, 1897-September 8, 1997) was an American actress. She is best known for playing the part of a kindly old woman on such shows as Diff'rent Strokes and Highway to Heaven. Her most famous role is perhaps her appearance as Steve Martin's grandmother in the 1989 comedy Parenthood.[1] She died in 1997 at the age of 100.
