Lead

Please read WP:LEAD. The lead section is suppose to be a summary of the main body of article and won't normally be directly referenced as the refereneces would be in the body of the text. The exception is if something is contraversual but I doubt that occurs on this article. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 22:17, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was not aware of this--thank you for letting me know. Do you know of any good introductions on a specific page that I can model after, or will any FA article do? (LittleCass 00:05, 3 November 2011 (UTC))

Some thoughts

  • Units are inconsistant. Sometimes only metric, sometimes only imperial, can't tell who the reader would be so give both. Sometimes full name i.e. inches, sometimes short name i.e. cm, be consistant. Look at using {{Convert}}
  • More wikilinks required on unusual or unfamiliar phrases.
  • Use of lined seahorse and H. erectus. Would be best to stick to lined seahorse per the article title unless specific reason otherwise.
  • Some redundancy and repeating things. Likely that condensing can occur, see WP:REDEX.
  • The seahorse would be "happiest". Emotions to animals are not normally considered scientific.
  • Does the image on right that is large in the article add anything to the article? Maybe cut it?
