Gas injection in the oil industry refers to pumping different sorts of gases to the subsurface oil reservoirs in order to stimulate the crude oil . Gas injection along with water flooding are categorized as the secondary recovery of the petroleum . The composition of the gas maybe different such as carbon dioxide, air and nitrogen . Comparing with another methods of oil recovery, gas injection in less applicable due to high cost and low accessible technology in most of middle east countries . [1]
