* The image has minimal EV though. It's only in one article and it [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Panning_%28camera%29&action=historysubmit&diff=463873728&oldid=440518320 replaced] an image that, in my opinion, better illustrated the concept of panning. There are some things I don't find attractive in this image in particular. The background does not have that horizontal crisp "panning feel" that is appealing in the former image of the article (and lead image) The low shutter speed has made the subject underexposed or less appealing contrast. Since the chicken moves up and down, I'm not sure if it is a good subject to use for illustrating panning. What's the rebuttal to the opinions in the previous nomination? Original – Illustration of the photographic technique of Panning (camera), in which the moving subject is kept in the centre of the camera framing, causing the background to blur. In this photo a low shutter speed of 1/40 s was used, making the body and legs of the hen blur too, which adds to the feeling of motion (and panic of the hen).
Reason
Illustrates camera panning clearly using an original subject. The motion blur in most of the hen's body and legs adds to the feeling of motion
