Saluri Koteswara Rao and Thotakura Somaraju, popularly known as Raj-Koti is an Indian film music composer, singer-songwriter, record producers, musician and multi-instrumentalist, duo in Telugu Cinema, In a notable career spanning two decades, active during 1980s and 1990s, the duo has garnered particular acclaim for redefining contemporary Telugu film music and thus contributing to the success of several films.

Their pioneering works were notable for integrating south Indian classical music with electronic music sounds, world music genres and traditional orchestral arrangements after Illayaraja, in Telugu cinema. Renowned music composer A. R. Rahman has worked as a key board player for the duo Raj-Koti in the early 90's[1] In a Television interview, aired on ABN Andhrajyothy the duo announced that they are teaming up again in 2011 and reinstate the Raj-Koti brand.[2]

Background

Saluri Koteswara Rao was the son of S. Rajeswara Rao and Thotakura Somaraju was the son of T. V. Raju, the pioneers of Telugu film classicals.
