In actual fact, her soul had travelled through time into the Qing Dynasty after a serious car cum electric shock accident which teleported her back in time. The Fourth Prince quietly brings the medicine for Ruoxi and asks her to treasure her life. on the Tenth Prince's birthday, Ruolan decorates the location well and is appreciated by everyone. A displeased Minghui leaves early. Princess Mingyu (Minghui's younger sister) confronted Rouxi and spoke ill about her sister, Roulan. Out of rage, Rouxi and Prince Mingyu started to fight and ended up being falling into a pond. Amid the uproar, Rouxi succumbs Princess Mingyu which surprise all the guests. | |||

Rouxi gained fame with nickname "the fearless 13th sister" after the fight with Mingyu. Roulan angered by her sister ridiculous action, refused to talk to Rouxi but eventually forgave her. Meanwhile on Mid-Autumn Festival, Emperor Kangxi arranges a marriage for the Tenth Prince. The bride will be Princess Mingyu. Although the Tenth Prince does not want to take Mingyu as his wife, he eventually agrees. He realizes that he can't turn down his father's order. | |||

Rouxi's disappointment regarding Tenth prince's engagement brings rumors of her affection towards Yin'e. But the truth is, she's not happy of having her life being manipulated by one man's word. Rouxi eventually comforted the sad Yin'e upon Yinti request. During Tenth prince wedding night, 13th Prince YinXiang forces Rouxi to follow him for a drink in the outskirts. A drunk Rouxi told Yinxiang a little about her origin but Yinxiang merely thinks she is being silly. The Crown Prince plans to organize a horse racing event. Ruoxi asks her elder sister, Ruolan, to join in. However, Ruolan refuses the invitation. Ruoxi is mystified by her sister's pained expression. | |||

Qiaohui and Rouxi bump into 13th Prince (Yinxiang) during a Chinese New Year festival, unaware that Luwu is with him due to her disguise as man. As they invite 14th Prince (Yinti) to a supper, Yinti and his follower is displease to see Luwu but Rouxi defends her. Yinti advise Rouxi to consider her status when choosing friend. They end up fighting each other. Eight prince (Yinsi) offers his advise to Rouxi about palace maid selection, and finally confesses his feeling for her. A shocked Rouxi refuses his proposal and Yinsi does not want to force her. Yinzhen and Yinti (upon Yinsi request) work together to make sure Rouxi is not enlist for concubine role during maid selection. Their effort backfire making Rouxi becoming the tea-lady for Kangxi Emperor thus making it much harder for her to leave palace. Rouxi accepted her fate calmly and does her best, results a fast promotion. | |||

Kangxi Emperor plans to visit Prince Suwan-Guwalgiya. He leaves the country affairs to Yinsi while few princes follows the emperor including the Crown prince, 4th Prince Yinzhen and 13th prince Yinxiang. Thanks to Yinzhen arrangement, Rouxi and friends are allowed to tag along. Rouxi designs sets of tea cups with different flower patterns, and serves refreshing juice with it to the Emperor and his princes. Yinzhen is surprise to know that she designs his cup with his favorite flower while serving his favorite juice. He begins to misunderstand that Rouxi might has affection on him. | |||

Rouxi tricks Yinxiang into teaching her horse-ridding. But every time, Yinxiang is tied up and unable to attend Rouxi request. He asks Yinzhen to go as his replacement. Rouxi is uncomfortable with Yinxiang's sudden arrangement, intends to avoid Yinzhen but failed. On the 2nd day of training, Yinzhen who begins to have crush on Rouxi forcefully kisses her. At the capital, Yinsi gains the emperor trusted officer's favor when he decides to inform the Emperor about 18th prince illness. The emperor saddened by the news, wished to hurry home. | |||

The Crown prince continue to cause uproar, making the Emperor strips away his tittle. All princes are alert especially Yinsi and Yinzhen. Clever Yinzhen chooses to remain silent and unresponsive towards the news while, Yinti suggest Yinsi to be nominate for the crown prince position. After much persuasion from his three close brothers, Yinsi went ahead. Because of this, his title is strip away by the angry Emperor while Yinti who defends Yinsi is beaten. | |||

Yinzhen was upset when his own mother sided Yinti (his younger brother of same parents). Yinsi fails to get comfort from Roulan. Both Yinzhen and Yinsi was in bad mood, bump into each other in front of Rouxi room. Both chats and comforts each other together with a quiet Rouxi. As Rouxi birthday draws near, Yin'e and Yinti plans to give her presents but Rouxi tells them she only wished to see her sister Roulan. With 8th prince Yinsi's mother Consort Liang's help, Roulan and Rouxi finally reunite. Roulan questions Rouxi about her future plan. Emperor plans another trip to the outskirts bringing Crown prince Yinreng and 8th prince Yinsi. Emperor asks Rouxi how's her horse-ridding lesson, orders her to improve quickly. As Yutan talks about it, Rouxi suddenly remembers how detailed is Yinzhen when he trains her. MinMin princess meets Rouxi and offers to teach although she never trains anyone. Rouxi almost had an accident until she is rescue by Yinsi the 8th prince. | |||

After rescueing Rouxi, Yinsi is happy to know that she likes him too, and both become lovers. While carrying out the emperor order, Yinzhen, Yintang and Yin'e has argument about the change of important officials. At the same time, Yinti takes the risk to warn his 8th brother Yinsi about it. He asked Rouxi for help. Crown prince receives news that one of Yinsi's close brothers may come to warn and sets out to find him. Rouxi agree to help Yinti and Yinsi. She and Yinti end up pretending as lovers to get MinMin help. | |||

As Rouxi and Yinsi continue to enjoy their sweet love affair, Yinti safely returns to capital and meets up with his fellow brothers. In a private conversation, Yinzhen advises his brother Yinti to keep a good behavior, knowing well the emperor is trying to stop 8th prince from becoming Crown prince and worry that his younger brother Yinti may get into trouble. 8th prince Yinsi however try to suggest his supporter to be promoted, nearly raise the emperor suspicion. | |||

As Yinsi list out Yinzhen supporter names, Rouxi notices a name that she remembers from history books. Yinsi wonders why Rouxi cares a lot about Yinzhen affairs. Aware of Yinsi fate during his later years, Rouxi decides to ask Yinsi to choose between his ambition to become emperor and his love for her. Yinsi refuses to choose, leaving her heartbroken. Meanwhile, Mingyu warns her sister Minghui about Yinsi daring ambition but Minghui is not afraid. Rouxi meets up with the Gororo sisters in palace, almost end up being bully, Yinzhen appears in nick of time and permits her to leave the scene thus saved her. Rouxi confronts Yinsi about Roulan's life at home. Both has disagreement, which makes Rouxi think twice about their relationship and future. At home, Minghui was upset with Yinsi's reaction but when Yinsi asks Roulan about Minghui, Roulan defends her. Yinsi disappointed by Roulan's cold shoulder, tells Roulan about their past that deeply upsets her | |||

Rouxi accepts 4th prince Yinzhen's cute present although she initially rejects it. During a tea break with the princes, Rouxi picks up a puppy and accidentally reminds Yinzhen about the gift. As 8th prince Yinsi saw both of them exchanging glances, he begins to feel uneasy. 14th prince Yinti noticing the same thing went to scold Rouxi, asking her to be faithful to his 8th brother. Taken aback by his comment, Rouxi and Yinti friendship becomes deteriorated. Minghui notices her husband's depression, requests Roulan to let Yinsi marries Rouxi. Roulan passes her message to Rouxi and hope that she agrees to the proposal so that Rouxi's future would be stable. Rouxi on the other hand, is still unable to decide. | |||

Rouxi meets with Yinsi, finds out that Yinsi would not give up his ambition for her. She leaves Yinsi with a confusing warning before departs, telling Yinsi their affair is now over. Coincidentally, while leaving she meets up with Yinzhen and Yinxiang. While Yinzhen and her are alone in the snow, Yinzhen coldly comforts a crying Rouxi but end up enrages her. Yinti angrily confront Rouxi, but was interupted by Yinzhen and his 13th brother. Both wonders what has happened but stop asking when she cries. Rouxi diverts the topic towards MinMin princess and her feelings for Yinxiang. Yinxiang admits he has no such feelings for MinMin and says its best that the princess forgets about him. During the Chinese New Year, both Yinsi and Yinzhen keeps sending letter and gift, Rouxi returns all to them respectfully. She even tells Yinzhen to give up on her as she wished to live the rest of her life alone and single. Yinsi is deeply wounded but Yinzhen finds that amusing, unwilling to believe her gut. Emperor notice the change of mood and hope to bring 8th prince to a trip to the mountain. | |||

Ruoxi ultimately dies and the news of her death travels to the ears of yinzhen (emperor yongzheng) and yinxiang (the thirteenth prince). With pain and anguish, yinzhen, together with yinxiang, scatters the ashes of ruoxi into the wind, as per her wish. Ruoxi then returns to the modern world and into her own former body, zhang xiao. Zhang xiao, curious if her experience in the qing dynasty is real of simply a hallucination during her coma, went to search for maertai' ruoxi online and found no results. Then, she went to the museum featuring the qing dynasty and confirmed her experience did indeed happen. She also meets a mysterious man there that resembles yinzhen. The man, not recognising her, just turned and left. Unable to control herself, zhang xiao/ruo xi broke down into tears. | |||
