Inspector Steel is an Indian comic book character, one of a number of titles published by Raj Comics. The origin of this character has been said to be inspired by RoboCop.

Origin

Inspector Amar after an incident lost some major parts of his body. To save his life his brain was replaced in a mechanical body making him a cyborg, this work was done by his friend Professor Anees.

Inspector Steel is 450 kg (1,000 lb) of armour plating, ICs, chips, mindboggling assemblage of weapon systems and electronic wizardry. The only part human in him is his brain, which is wired to the rest of the systems.

Powers and abilities

He is a heavily armoured cyborg who cannot be harmed by simple weapons. He has x-ray vision, fully automatic bullet and rocket firing Megagun, scanners and many digital equipments such as lie detector machine,fax etc. inbuilt. Normal bullets and bombs donot harms him. Now he has sealed body which is resitive against outer interference.
