In The Godfather Trilogy: 1901-1980, a previously deleted scene shows Clemenza introducing Hyman Suchowsky, a.k.a "Johnny Lips" (played by John Megna) to Vito Corleone. Vito immediately suggests he needs a better name and asks the young Suchowsky what man he admires most in the world. Suchowski answers "Arnold Rothstein." From then on, he is dubbed "Hyman Roth". In the original cut of the Godfather Part II, Roth pushes Clemenza and Vito out of the way of oncoming traffic when they admire the raising of the Genco Olive Oil sign.

Discovered

"He is discovered by Peter Clemenza when the former wanders into the Genco Olive Oil Company and offers to repair the delivery truck. He is immediately taken into the organization."

I've seen GF2 a number of times and don't remember this. Where is this from? Actually, as this article progresses, I see more about "Johnny Lips" and "Hyman Rothstein". Again, don't remember this from the movie. (I read the book as well and am mostly sure none of this was in the book either)

Also, how is Roth's exact birth date known?

Wife?

Is there enough information available to add a line or two about the woman who lives with Hyman and goes with him to Cuba? I'm assuming she's his wife, but her name is never given... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.217.39.100 (talk) 00:00, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
