Future, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia.

Biography

Pluto (2011-present)

Future initially planned on releasing his debut album Pluto on January 24th, but the LP is no longer on track to release this month. According to DDotOmen.com, the Atlanta, Georgia native's first album has been pushed to February 21st. No explanation has been given regarding the LP's delay. In the meantime, the "Tony Montana" rapper is gearing up for the release of his mixtape Astronaut Status, releasing January 12th on LiveMixtapes.com. Billboard's "The Juice" recently caught up with rappers currently making the most noise in Atlanta: Future and 2 Chainz, who discussed the status of their forthcoming albums. Interestingly enough Future, whose rise to mainstream acknowledgment came from his hit "Tony Montana", says he will present an album that contains a minimal amount of rapping. "As far as the melodies that I'm using, I'm not even really rapping on all the songs. I've probably got about 25% rap [on the album]; the rest of the songs are just full of melody." says Future. He's aiming for 'astronaut music' that is different from its current competitors; that will instill learning and growth. According to Future his debut LP, Pluto, is scheduled to be released on January 31st. The album will feature completely new material. He feels that he is presenting a project that is timeless and ahead of its time. "I feel like this music is really like an album that's going to have to sit on the shelf for a long time. For people to understand it, they're going to have to really sit down and understand and play it to get it. It's timeless music, it's music that you're going to be able to hear three years from now and be like, 'Oh that's what he was talking about.' I'm trying to be ahead of the curve, ahead of the time right now. You can't be in with the fads, you've got to be a trendsetter."[1]
