PowerShares are a family of exchange traded funds (ETFs) marketed by Invesco. Created in 2002, PowerShares funds use quantitative indices as a benchmark.[1] There are currently over 120 PowerShares ETFs, including the prominent PowerShares QQQ designed to replicate the Nasdaq 100 Index. QQQ is among the most actively traded equity securities in the world.
