The Manx triskelion was not flown on the Gloriana. It is not visible on any photo of the barge. If it was then two things spring to mind: either the organisers didn't know that the Isle of Man is not part of the UK, or they were blatently ignoring every other British possession including Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, St. Helena, the Falkland Islands, Bermuda, etc. <span style="color:#003300;font-family:serif;font-size:100%">Mac Tíre</span> <span style="color:red;font-family:cursive;font-size:80%">Cowag</span> 23:01, 3 June 2012 (UTC) |

I doubt that the organisers didn't know what they were doing as Flag Protocol is an important diplomatic and naval convention. The Islands in question are considered Crown Dependencies so that may or may not have a bearing. Artowalos (talk) 15:45, 8 June 2012 (UTC)artowalos |

Vandalism
Yet again we see edits that reverse important information for what appears to be purely political reasons. If you wish to tak up the debate about the constituents of the UK - then please take up your discussion elsewhere! Flag protocol is an important part of the information relating to Royal Barges in the UK. This information was provided to me by an ex-Naval officer with expertise in signals on board ship. i have reversed your edits. Please do not reverse them again!
