Gastón Ezequiel Ramírez Pereyra (born 2 December 1990) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays for Bologna and the Uruguay national football team as a winger.On July 5th 2012 he signed for Liverpool FC on a £19.4 transfer fee

Club career

Ramírez started his senior career in Uruguay with Peñarol, making his professional debut for the club in March 2009. In his second year at Peñarol, Ramírez scored 6 goals in 20 games, helping the club win the 2009-10 Primera División.

In August 2010, Ramírez was sold to Bologna for a fee of 2.5 million.[1] He made his Bologna debut in a 1–1 draw away to Catania on 26 September 2010.[2] Ramírez finished his first season at Bologna with four goals and two assists in 25 league appearances, and scored an additional three goals in two Coppa Italia games.[1][3]  

Despite being linked with a move to several high-profile clubs, Ramírez remained at Bologna for the start of the 2011–12 Serie A season, eventually signing a new contract with Bologna until 2016.

International career

In 2009, he played in the FIFA U-20 World Cup. On 8 October 2010, he received his first cap with Uruguay on a friendly match against Indonesia.
