Just tested ripping on two drives with SMART-X, and an older drive. The rates were 12.1x, 12.6x, and 6.3x, respectively. SMART-X is not Riplock. |

SMART-X is NOT the same as Riplock! I have two Lite-On drives with SMART-X (one DVD and one Blu-Ray) and they rip very fast (the last DVD I ripped, did so at > 10x).
Just tested ripping on two drives with SMART-X, and an older drive. The rates were 12.1x, 12.6x, and 6.3x, respectively. SMART-X is not Riplock.
