The Albanian Boys Inc a.k.a. "ABI" are a primarily Albanian cohesive gang of young Albanians that originated in the streets of New York.[1] ABI was at first initiated by immigrants who had come to the states after the Kosovo War or from the 1997 rebellion in Albania. They were founded in the Bronx, New York, in 1997-1998 mainly by teenage kids who were willing to stand up for each other in the ruthless streets of New York. What was once a simple alliance between ethnic immigrants trying to protect each other is now a wide connected network of criminal sets, often engaged in open collaboration with organize crime syndicates and predominately drug-trafficking.
ABI, at one point, was known to be one of the most vicious and most violent associations of street gangs in New York. The gang is known to be involved in murders, money laundering, extortion and drug dealing, among many other criminal pursuits. The gang is known for its gang members' use of the color Red and Black clothing.
History
ABI, use to be a group of young men that protected each other and protected the community. They consistently would get into fist fights with blacks and Hispanics in the streets and at schools. They eventually congregated mostly in Arthur Street in the Bronx and throughout time were able to unofficially have their own block known as Blloku Shqiptar. The members were compromised from Albanians from all over the regions and of different religions, regardless to the fact that most of the graffiti that is observed is related to the Catholic Albanians.

Entertainment
One of the most famous members of ABI is New York Hip-Hop legend Viktor Palokaj. Palokaj, other wise known as Unikkatil by his stage name, was a former ABI member with his brother. Palokaj, eventually broke away from ABI with various other member's and formed The Bloody Alboz, a set of ex-ABI members that became involved in the Rap Industry.[2]
Present
Presently, ABI is compromised of young mischievous members who flamboyantly tote pistols and drive expensive cars. Due to the vast majority of Albanians that have flooded New York, there is very little need of forming a gang for protective measures. The ABI members are known for being non-confrontational, but are known to be very vengeful if acted upon. They usually take there revenge to the extreme and retail directly without planning. ABI is still known to be protective force around the Bronx, and is one of the very few areas in the Bronx that is populated by whites.
Many ABI member have "hidden" themselves and present themselves as regular citizens due to the FBI constant surveillance of the many operations that are still conducted throughout New York city.
ABI, also has various of its members involved in a RAP group also called ABI in which they rap about their gangster experiences.
