Born August 8, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario. Died November 29, 2005 in Toronto, Ontario - Donald Robert Keenan, who played in one game for the Boston Bruins, was a former Toronto St. Michael's Majors goalie who was practicing with the University of Toronto team and was the Leafs' 'house goalie' in the late 50's. He was to be available in case an opposing goalie couldn't play. On March 7, 1959, Harry Lumley of the Bruins took sick and the Leafs contacted 21 year old Keenan to suit up for the Bruins. He played well in a 4-1 loss and was the 3rd star of the game.

In university he led the AUAA in wins (8) playoffs games played (4) playoffs minutes played (240) playoffs wins (3) and playoffs GAA (2,50) with the St. Francis Xavier X-Men, 1956-57.

Upon graduation, Don joined Trane of Canada as a Professional Engineer, where he had a rewarding career culminating in his becoming the President and CEO prior to his retirement.

Don was married to Glenna, with sons Craig, Glenn and daughter Meredith. Don's siblings included brothers Jim, Bill, Harry, Paul, Bruce and sister Jane.
