is a Champagne house created in 1966 [1], subsidiary of Kupferberg (German sparkling wine), producing in 1998, 3 million bottles per year [2], [3].
Acquired in 1998 by Martin Financial which facing major financial difficulties, sold Bricout in 2003 to the financial holding US-Luxembourg Opson Schneider, but they went into bankruptcy, causing a scandal unprecedented in Champagne [4], [5],[6],[7].
Following the liquidation of the assets of Pierre Martin, LVMH and Vranken-Pommery Monopole have shared in 2003, 400 hectares of vineyards and wine Bricout-Delbeck contracts, including 200 ha from the company Avize [8],[9].
Bricout Champagne is made since 2003 by the Vranken Pommery Monopole, but actually only remains the brand, while the Chateau and cellars of Champagne Bricout located Avize have been abandoned at the time of recovery.
