[edit]

Du Du is the first diver who grasped the into-water technique of turnover palms to reduce the water pressure spray. In 1960s, from research and practice, Du Du initially developed and mastered this specific into-water technique.

In 1970’s, Du Du introduced the turnover palms into-water technology in the National Diving Coaches forum several times. Du Du explained the concept of reducing water pressure for smaller spray and provided the in depth training method.

In 1979, on the second issue of “Sports Technology”, Du Du published a research monograph of turnover palms into-water diving technology. In this paper, he provided comprehensive theory with diagrams and detailed training steps. Prior to Du Du’s research paper, there were no articles or discussions on this specific into-water technique in the world. Du Du is the first person to invent this diving technology.

Nowadays, this specific turnover palms into-water technology has been adapted by the outstanding diving athletes worldwide. In 1999, CCTV introduced Du Du’s turnover palms to push into water technology in the special program for the 50th Anniversary of New China Sport. In 2009, the sports channel of CCTV produced a special program “Sports World” for the 60 anniversary of New China.
