Patrick Ebert (born 17 March 1987) is a German professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Real Valladolid, as a winger.
Career
Born in Potsdam, Ebert started playing football for TuS Gaarden in Kiel as a four-year old in 1991.[1]. After two years he switched to TSV Russee in 1993, before his return to Berlin when joining Hertha BSC in 1998. Since the 2006–07 season, Ebert has been part of Hertha's first team. He made his debut on 16 July 2006 in the Intertoto Cup against FK Moscow, coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute.[2]
Ebert made his Bundesliga debut about a month later on 13 August 2006 against VfL Wolfsburg,[3] scoring his first goal in the following match against Hannover 96.[4] Since then, he has appeared in over 90 Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga matches for Hertha BSC.
On 6 June 2012 he was released along with Christian Lell, Andreas Ottl and Andre Mijatovic, before signing with Real Valladolid on 27 July 2012.[5]
International Career
From 2007 to 2009, Ebert made 13 appearances for the German under-21 national team, scoring once. In 2009, he was part of the team that won the U-21 European Championship.
