== NCLEX-RN article ==
Hi Ben. Trust you're well. [[User:Reignebubbles]] keeps inserting a seemingly innane piece of text into the [[NCLEX-RN]] article which is a bit of a mess already and needs fixing which I will try to do soon. [[User:Reignebubbles]] has put back (after my expurgation) this text:

'''For the year 2008, we would like to commend a nursing aspirant from the Philippines for getting an almost perfect score 999 out of 1000. The genius student from Asia is Reigne Alexxa B. Buenavista. Kudos!'''

It's off-kilter and cannot be verified and I opine it's inappropriate and likely vandalism.

Could you have a look and maybe contravene since I don't engage in 3RRs downstream ? Best wishes and thanks in advance. --- (Bob) [[User:Wikiklrsc|Wikiklrsc]] ([[User talk:Wikiklrsc|talk]]) 21:44, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

:Thank you for letting me know, and yes, it is vandalism. I've warned the user with a standard template message. If it continues, please continue to warn them through to the final warning, and then if it continues, let myself or another admin know that a block may have become appropriate.

:And also, 3RR doesn't apply in the case of vandalism. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 23:28, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

::Ah, I see. Thanks for having a look, Ben. The article's a mess and needs a lot of work. But to have such nutty additional stuff on it makes the challenge even harder. I will follow through on your recommndations with this user's conduct. Best wishes. -- (Bob) [[User:Wikiklrsc|Wikiklrsc]] ([[User talk:Wikiklrsc|talk]]) 23:42, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

::Ben, it also looks like whatever that user touched was ruinous in many articles. Sad. There is so much real work to do rather than chasing one's tail. Bests. --- (Bob) [[User:Wikiklrsc|Wikiklrsc]] ([[User talk:Wikiklrsc|talk]]) 23:59, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

== Staunton Virginia links ==

I appreciate your diligence in removing the link to the Staunton history web page, and in that same spirit I have removed the link to the American Shakespeare Center, which is purely a business operation that relies on ticket sales and tours to stay in business. If it is inappropriate for Wikipedia to link to a site that offers historical resources that may be purchased, it is also inappropriate for it to link to a site for a business concern in Staunton.

If ASC is to receive a link in the Staunton, Va., listing, so should Joe's Plumbing, Dixie Gas and Oil, and Staunton History. [[Special:Contributions/64.203.156.103|64.203.156.103]] ([[User talk:64.203.156.103|talk]]) 23:58, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

:You're slightly off there - the Staunton history site is blatant advertising, and removed per [[WP:SPAM]]. The [[American Shakespeare Center]], on the other hand, has notability established, and has its own article. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 06:10, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

The ASC is a commercial enterprise that relies on the sales of tickets and schlock to stay in business. The fact that it has a page on Wikipedia doesn't change that fact. The Stonewall Jackson Hotel also has a page on Wikipedia, but it is a business and hence, according to Wikipedia's own rules, doesn't get a link on the Staunton page.

The Staunton history site is no more commercial than ASC's, which uses its site to sell everything from tickets and tours to coffee mugs and t-shirts. If one business is going to receive special dispensation to generate income via a link on Wikipedia, then all businesses should. == seattle protests ==

Greetings. Just wondering why you moved the page on the 1999 Seattle protests back to its old title. I moved it because I was looking for information on the topic and searched for "seattle protests 1999"; this is what most people would think the article would be called. I think my title was more intuitive. However, I may be missing something.

Regards, [[User:Jandrews23jandrews23|Jandrews23jandrews23]] ([[User talk:Jandrews23jandrews23|talk]]) 09:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

:The [[World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference of 1999 protest activity]] title is (1) more descriptive, and (2) falls in line with other articles where the protests surrounding the parent event are also notable. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 18:47, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

::Don't you think it is a bit long winded though? Perhaps "1999 WTO Seattle Conference Protests"? Regards,[[User:Jandrews23jandrews23|Jandrews23jandrews23]] ([[User talk:Jandrews23jandrews23|talk]]) 10:07, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

What are you talking about? I've never edited any Wikipedia page in my life, I only use Wikipedia to gain knowledge, not skewer it for others. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/72.139.45.11|72.139.45.11]] ([[User talk:72.139.45.11|talk]]) 18:27, 30 March 2009 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

:The vandalism being warned about is nearly two years old - it is likely you didn't do it, as you're using Wikipedia as an IP address. You've just exemplified why it's a good idea to register for a username. That message was likely never intended for you, and it wouldn't have occurred if you had a username. == Libertarian Solution Radio Program ==
I would like to ask that you reconsider the deletion of this page. You posted the following reasons for suggesting deletion:

"No third-party verifiable reliable sources. No sign of notability. The KXAM website doesn't even bother to list this as a featured program on their front page."

I'm not sure what "no third-party verifiable reliable sources" is in reference to, such as whether the program itself actually exists (which certainly is verifiable). KXAM does not list the program on their front page because their policy is only to promote shows on their front page that air daily, or programs that are owned by the station. This program airs weekly, and is not owned by KXAM. It also airs online available through several sources outside of KXAM's broadcast, and many of the program's nationwide listeners receive the program through these alternative sources. <small><span class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:Nickcoons|Nickcoons]] ([[User talk:Nickcoons|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Nickcoons|contribs]]) 01:28, 31 March 2009 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

== Your recent reversion of [[Rosslyn (Washington Metro)]] ==

Re your recent reversion of [[Rosslyn (Washington Metro)]], you reverted my note that the assertion of fact in the article was not sourced. You did not correct the article to address the mentioned problem, but instead added additional unsourced facts in your edit summary. I have restored the <nowiki>{{who}}</nowiki> note I originally added. Your edit history suggests that you are experienced with Wikipedia and quite familiar with its policies and principles, so I won't attempt to instruct you on them, but I will simply say that my edit was consistent with [[WP:SOURCE]] and [[WP:NOR]]. &mdash;[[User:Danorton|Danorton]]&nbsp;([[User talk:Danorton|talk]]) 22:44, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

== [[KrisWorld]] ==
I am trying to find out why the Kris World page was deleted. I was looking for info on the Panasonic 2000 and 3000 IFE systems and KrisWorld had descent info about those IFE systems as well as info on the new Panasonic eX2 GCS IFE systems. I looked at the Singapore wiki and it doesn't contain the in depth IFE info that KrisWorld had (panasonic AVOD and various IFE changes). Also the Singapore wiki now has dead links for the KrisWorld citations. If you found other wikis that contain Panasonic IFE info, especially about the 2000 and 3000 series, I would like to see tham. thanks <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/130.76.32.145|130.76.32.145]] ([[User talk:130.76.32.145|talk]]) 01:08, 9 April 2009 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

== Editing request ==

Hi SchuminWeb... I would like to know, if you are interested to edit two new articles that I wrote: [[User:Milamitu/Sandbox - 2|Jacob Westervelt]] (just a stub), [[User:Milamitu/Sandbox|Jacob Aaron Westervelt]] (after almost 150 hours of work → 60 kb). I wrote both articles in a Sandbox of my alternate account Milamitu. As I wrote you once before, I am Swissgerman, and therefore my english is not perfect, and I need the help of some native english speakers who can correct my articles (I also asked the user Judicatus, but he is quite busy at the moment... and finally 4 eyes see more than 2 eyes). It would be great, if you could have a look at my Sandbox. But please dont move these articles from my Sandbox to the pages Jacob Westervelt/Jacob Aaron Westervelt. I actually want to edit the articles before I move them to the public space myself, as I try to avoid, that a copyedit-tag is added to the articles. In such cases too many people "put in their two cents", and I already experienced, that this doesnt increase the quality of an article at all. I would really be glad if you could help me! With kind regards--'''''[[User:Rectilinium|<span style="color: #ADADAD">Rectilinium</span>]]'''''[[User talk:Rectilinium|<span style="color: #C81717">''''''♥''''''</span>]] 13:23, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

::::Thanks :)... Im glad you like the articles. One user said, that I used some peacock terms, and that this should be fixed. I dont know if he allready did. But if you say the article is ok, I'll move it now, and if someone wants to change these peacock-ish words he can change them in the public space? My mentor suggested that I should nominate it for DYK, another said, that it is too late, because the article was created more than 5 days ago. :::One more question. Can I also move a category? There is a category "Ships of Robert Kermis Red Star Line". But the name of the new category should be "Ships of the Robert Kermit Red Star Line". ::::You can't move a category in the same way because a category can't be "moved". Best way to do that is to list the category for renaming at [[WP:CFD|categories for discussion]]. In that process, you list the old category, the proposed name, and your rationale for why it should be changed (there is a template where you put all of this in). Then at the conclusion of the process, an administrator deletes the old category, the new category is created, and then a bot moves all the articles to the new category. == Deletion of Brenin Llwyd ==

It appears you deleted the page [[Brenin Llwyd]]. Please restore this page. There is a page already called "The Grey King" which is about a modern work of fiction by the author Susan Cooper. The wiki I created is quite different and concerns the subject of Welsh folklore called the Brenin Llwyd and not the modern novel. There is a clear difference between the title of a book and a wiki exploring the legend behind a real subject of folklore. I ask you formally and seriously to restore the page I had created and allow me to develop it. I think this sort of guerilla editing is quite outrageous without any discussion at all with the author writing the wiki. It is extremely rude and irritating. ::That was with a different user regarding different articles. Certainly referring to those discussions could be ''part'' of your discussion with ''this'' user regarding ''this'' article. If either of you reverts again I'm going to protect the article until this gets worked out. It seems you think information about what businesses are located in a given facility (e.g. malls), or information about where a defunct business was located, does not belong in articles. Some people agree with you, I and apparently others disagree. Rather than running around reverting eachother, can we find somewhere to discuss the question of what information about business locations belongs in articles? We can make our cases and see who has consensus. == Deletion of image ==

Hi, I just noticed you deleted the file [[:File:Rasim_Delic.jpg|Rasim_Delic.jpg]], with explanation "Speedy deleted per CSD F7, was an image with an invalid fair use rationale and the uploader was notified more than 48 hours ago. using TW". I carefully inspected my talk page and its history (not a very long one) and I, as the image uploader, have never been notified of this. How did this happen? Thank you. --[[User:Дарко Максимовић|Дарко Максимовић]] ([[User_talk:Дарко Максимовић|talk]]) 00:25, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

By the way, since the image has been deleted, I can't see which copyright template I used, so if I may ask you - do you know anything of fair use from UN sources? I thought UN documents, including images, could be used in Wikipedia? Do you know if it's true, and if yes, which template should I use for it? Thank you. --[[User:Дарко Максимовић|Дарко Максимовић]] ([[User_talk:Дарко Максимовић|talk]]) 00:25, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

:You used the {{tl|Non-free fair use in}} template. Considering that the image existed in the infobox (thus mainly to show what the person looks like), and that non-free images of living people are generally not allowed, even if you were notified, there is no way you would have been able to contruct a passable fair use rationale, because one just does not exist.

:I believe the reason you were not notified is because the image was originally nominated under another speedy criterion. When I came through checking speedies, I just straight-up deleted it for the reason described above. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 01:15, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thank you for your answer, I understand that. What about my question about UN documents? Could you please advise me on this? Thank you. --[[User:Дарко Максимовић|Дарко Максимовић]] ([[User_talk:Дарко Максимовић|talk]]) 14:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

:I went to the United Nations' Web site, and found [http://www.un.org/en/aboutun/copyright/ this page], which indicates that UN material is indeed copyrighted, and not in the public domain or otherwise available under a free license. Thus I would think that UN material should be treated like any other non-free material. Thus you can use UN documents as a source of information for your own original contributions and cite them as a source, but we cannot use them verbatim as article content. Regarding pictures, this would mean that UN-created images would fall under the guidelines specified at [[Wikipedia:Non-free content]] and [[Wikipedia:Image use policy]]. In a nutshell, it means that a detailed [[Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline|fair use rationale]] would need to be provided for why a non-free image is acceptable per fair use and Wikipedia's own (stricter) guidelines, and it means that if a free image could reasonably be found ''or created'', we can't use it on Wikipedia. == Manual pull station / Manual Call point ==

Hello. I have been bounding through fire protection articles since I joined Wikipedia, and I noticed that there was once a separate [[manual call point]] article which was merged into [[Fire alarm pull station]]. I noticed in the tutorial here: [[Wikipedia:Tutorial_(Keep_in_mind)#English_dialects]], point 6, that articles should have the name most commonly used, and to test this via Google. Well, Google, as of now, gives 15,600 hits for "Manual pull station", and 41,300 for "Manual call point".

Secondly, while they server similar functions, they are not the same thing. Thirdly, MCPs are not a subset of pull stations, and work quite differently.

I put some discussion here: [[Talk:Fire_alarm_pull_station]], but no one replied, which is why I'm leaving this on your talk page.

I would just recreate the manual call point article, but I want to know your opinion on the matter first (you merged them originally). Thank you. == [[Magica (band)]] ==

I have removed your speedy deletion tag from this article. I find it very odd that an experienced editor (let alone an administrator) would place a speedy tag on an article which clearly from the talk page and edit history survived an AFD less than a year ago and includes links to coverage at Allmusic and Rockdetector. Undoubtedly the article is poor, but speedy deletion is not appropriate here.--[[User:Michig|Michig]] ([[User talk:Michig|talk]]) 06:02, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Similarly, until such time as [[Magica (band)]] is deleted, your A9 tag on [[Wolves and Witches]] is not valid.--[[User:Michig|Michig]] ([[User talk:Michig|talk]]) 06:39, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

== Location change (& reservations made) for DC meetup ==

I stopped by TGI Friday's this evening and was less than impressed. They apparently don't take reservations, except perhaps if you call 24 hours ahead of time. The staff was not so helpful, and the menu has hardly anything vegetarian which is an issue for some people.

So, I checked out the Bertucci's pizza/Italian place across the street (21st & I St NW). Their staff couldn't have been more helpful, and think it will be fairly quiet so we will be able to hear each other. == The ==

I do not know why you felt the need to move any Super Sentai protagonist article named after the series. The use of the definite article in the articles' titles are meant to disambiguate the group (such as [[the Shinkengers]]) from the redirect to the series' main page (which would be at [[Shinkenger]]). There is no in-media group name for these characters, which is why these articles exist at "The ______". I do not think that batch-moving every single page to remove the definite article from the title based on how the definite article simply is not included in the group's name is, in my opinion, unnecessary. I've undone these moves.—[[User:Ryulong|<font color="blue">Ryūlóng</font>]] ([[User talk:Ryulong|<font color="gold">竜龙</font>]]) 01:12, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

:I'm going to have to revert you back on this one, I'm afraid. First of all, your concern can be overcome by a few strategically-placed hatnotes. Secondly, per [[Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Avoid definite and indefinite articles at the start of names]], the practice that you are advocating is expressly discouraged except in the case where "The" is part of the proper title, and would still be capitalized if not at the beginning of the sentence. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 13:23, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
::Before you revert everything back, there should be a discussion opened up at [[WT:TOKU]] so the primary editing community can decide on a better title. Removing "The" from the titles does not help anything.—[[User:Ryulong|<font color="blue">Ryūlóng</font>]] ([[User talk:Ryulong|<font color="gold">竜龙</font>]]) 14:11, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
::Okay, it's too late for that, and I am not going to bother moving everything back. Those titles are worse. There's no distinction between that and the series' subject except for one letter in each title and now there has to be an entirely new naming convention when IAR could have been easily applied here.—[[User:Ryulong|<font color="blue">Ryūlóng</font>]] ([[User talk:Ryulong|<font color="gold">竜龙</font>]]) 14:14, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
:::Having only one letter's difference is ''not necessarily'' a bad thing. Considering that the lead sentence of the affected articles names the Sentai series in question, and that there is a {{tl|main}} tag at the top of the sections about the characters themselves in the articles about the Sentai series in question, I think that the titles are probably fine. If you want to come up with a new naming scheme, that's a whole different can of beans. [[User:SchuminWeb|SchuminWeb]] ([[User talk:SchuminWeb|Talk]]) 14:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
