Ekwanok Country Club was established in 1899 in Manchester, Vermont and the golf course was built by the famous golfer and golf course architect Walter Travis.
In 1914, Francis Ouimet won the title he most coveted, the U.S. Amateur, downing Jerry Travers 6 & 5 in the 36-hole final at Ekwanok Country Club in the resort town of Manchester, Vermont. [1]
