Falco peregrinus has pointed long wings making it a heavy wing loading, and rapid wingbeats provide an energetically expensive high speed.

The fastest flyer in the world is the Peregrine Falcon.[1][2] The Peregrine Falcon's highest speed was measured in a dive at 242 mph (389 km/h).[3]
