Kaleb Nation (born 16 September 1988) is an author and American YouTube personality.[1] He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Writing career

Nation began writing his first novel at the age of 14, after being struck with an idea on March 3, 2003. Following six years of writing, Nation's first novel, Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse, was published on 9/9/09.[2] The Bran Hambric series has been published in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. It has also been translated into Russian and Portuguese.[3]

In November 2011, Nation announced that he had completed writing a new novel, rumored to be part of a new series for teenagers.[4] The book has been described as a "supernatural conspiracy theory novel".[5] The title was revealed in November 2012, Harken and was released on January 13, 2013.[6]

Television

In October 2011, Nation announced that he had signed on to star in a reality television show about his life as an author and video blogger. Nation's show is being produced by The Twilight Saga (film series) producer Mark Morgan, bestselling author Kami Garcia and director Brett Hudson.[7]

Other Work

Nation hosted a radio show at age 14, which was broadcast to over 20 states and countries.[8] Nation is also recognized as the writer behind TwilightGuy, a website dedicated to Twilight (series). The website was featured in BusinessWeek [9] and Entertainment Weekly.[10] Nation also appeared in the documentary Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town and was profiled by the Huffington Post when a parody he posted of Pottermore became a viral hit.[11]

In May 2012, Nation starred in Princess Charming, the music video by Youtube artists Megan and Liz.[12]

As of August 2012, Kaleb Nation's YouTube channel "kalebnation" has over 66,000 subscribers and 40 million video views.[13] His second channel "60SR" has received over 16,000 subscribers and 10 million video views. In May 2012, Nation announced that his channel "60SR" had joined PMC, a digital media company, to become a daily, 60-second entertainment web show. Nation receives an average of 1 - 2.5 million views a month on YouTube.[14] Nation is a regular attendee of VidCon.

Personal life

Nation currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his chinchilla named "Chilla". Nation is also a black belt in taekwondo.
