It would be very telling if we had even a crude picture of the lines of battle. Even if it just listed the major battle groups. Is this possible? [[User:Elementalwarrior|Elementalwarrior]] ([[User talk:Elementalwarrior|talk]]) 19:04, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Order of battle

It would be very telling if we had even a crude picture of the lines of battle. Even if it just listed the major battle groups. Is this possible? Elementalwarrior (talk) 19:04, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

San Francisco force

VADM William S. Pye sailed out of San Francisco with 7 battleships and some destroyers as escorts. Even though they did not come near the battle, they need to be included in the "Order of battle". The battleships were Pennsylvania (flagship), Maryland, Tennessee, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, and Mississippi. I do not have the list of destroyers. They sailed out of San Francisco, and when their help was no longer needed, they turned and sailed into San Diego.
