The Haazareth Three are a fictional group in the Marvel Comics universe. They debuted in Fantastic Four Vol 3 #69 (2003). They operate out of the hellish realm ruled by Mephisto.

Fictional character biography

They are a trio of demons with whom Doctor Doom made a pact (seen in the Unthinkable story arc). They made a deal with Doom; if he sacrifices something of irreplaceable value, they would provide him with the magical powers he would have possessed if he had chosen to devote his life to studying magic over science. Doom does, killing his childhood sweetheart, Valeria. The demons come through with the deal.[volume & issue needed]

As part of his confrontation with the Fantastic Four, Doom sends the Three Franklin Richards, the son of his rival Reed Richards.[1] The demons torture Franklin through visual horrors. Doom's demon granted powers also allow him to severely weaken the supernatural hero Doctor Strange; the demons keep an eye on the magician.[volume & issue needed]

During the final confrontation, Reed gets Doom to declare that he owes nobody anything. This is in defiance of the Three's deal, which required Doom to never forget what he owed them; in response they drag Doom down to hell to torture him. The Fantastic Four actually follow and rescue Franklin from the attention of the demons. Doom is left behind [2]

Doom escapes for some time due to Mister Fantastic, who believes that Doom will one day overwhelm the Three. The demons also claim to have tortured someone named 'Dillinger'.[3]

Doom eventually escaped the Three when Thor's hammer Mjolnir fell to Earth after the destruction of Asgard, the hammer creating a rift in Hell that Doom could use to escape, although his subsequent attempt to claim the hammer failed.[volume & issue needed]
