Babillon Tower (Georgian: ბაბილონის კოშკი) is a skyscraper currently under construction in Batumi, Georgia. It will be 166 Meters high (44 storeys[1]). Once complete it will be highest skyscraper in Batumi. The tower will join the many new buildings constructed in Batumi in recent years, leading to renewal of the tourist industry.[2]
Construction is being overseen by Omer Ilknur[1] and will include a 4 Star Hotel (independent construction), casino, residences, social facilities, stores, offices, cafe, restaurants, and bars.[3]
Local residents organized a successful protest against construction of the “Babillon Tower” at night. According to them, construction work on the hotel had been underway in 24 hour mode for 20 days.[4]
